The Game Room at Diamond Beach Galveston

I designed the collection in 1966 at the request of Florence Knoll, who
wanted well-designed outdoor furnishings that would withstand the corrosive
salt air at her home in Florida. Through the years, the 1966 Collection
has earned a special place in the world of outdoor furniture.

Diamond Beach has a spacious workout facility with a spectacular view overlooking the beach, pools, and grounds.  There are free weights, weight machines, Elipticals, and Treadmills by Technogym.

The indoor pool is one of three pools and is on the second floor with views of the outdoor pool area and the Gulf of Mexico.

We just got this cool new Home Theatre System for our condo.  This would qualify as “more than a ipod player” and “more than a tv stand”. The Geneva sound home theater features a 2.1 surround sound with Embracing Sound DSP technology, an all-digital 700W amplifier, seven speakers and 12 inch sub woofer. Also included is …..of course the docking station for your iphone/ipod, plus a radio receiver, a CD player, and interior storage space.

The game room at Diamond Beach is amazing.  The games include foosball, pinball, a pool table, Apple Comuters, and a fun environment.

Looking forward to attending some of the events at Dickens on the Strand this weekend in Galveston, Texas.

This is the view looking west from the fourth floor work out room.  This is the view from a treadmill.  The Lazy River pool and the private white sand beach is seen in the foreground.  The white sand was brought in from Florida.  The lazy river pool has an offshoot with a swim up bar and underwater bar stools.
