The Olympia Grill is our favorite restaurant in Galveston.  The gyros are awesome. There are two locations.  There is the original with Greek charm on Seawall Blvd and the chic one on the water in downtown.  Food is great in both! http://www.olympiagrill.net/

Galveston Island Municipal golf Course has a wonderful layout with sandhill cranes roaming the course.  There are strong cross winds almost every day.

Cafe Michael Burger is a great little casual restaurant just west of Diamond Beach on the other side of the road.  Great burgers and German food.  Views of the beach from inside and on the patio.
